The Chronicles of San Diego Podcast: Unpacking San Diego's Housing Crisis

On today’s episode I chat with a lady by the name of Stefanie Benvenuto. Stefanie is the director of public affairs at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and a San Diego Housing Commissioner.

Housing is widely accepted as one of San Diego’s most pressing issues, and has been for some time now, but I wanted to learn more about how we got into this crisis. Stefanie and I run through a brief history of the housing industry in San Diego and then chat about the state of the sector today.

We talk about a couple ongoing projects that you’ve likely heard of and then look forward towards opportunities on the horizon that can help alleviate the strain that so many of us San Diegans are feeling.

As always, please send any questions comments suggestions or other feedback to news@sdchronicle.org or connect with us on all the social medias at @TheSDChronicle. Please share this show with someone you think would benefit from knowing more about housing in San Diego
